Thank you

Hi! I am an adult who swims regularly at one of the city pools. I just wanted to thank the Optimists for sponsoring the free swim for the kids. I did notice quite a few different kids that usually dont swim. I saw kids smiling, laughing, and having a good time because of your generosity! Thank you for supporting the local pools.

Our positive approach, our upbeat outlook, and our commitment to creating a more optimistic future for kids is what differentiates Optimist Clubs from any other volunteer opportunity.

Although we come from all walks of life, Optimist Club Members share one common trait.  We know that we can make a difference in the lives of others.  We inspire respect for law, promote patriotism, work for friendship among all people and aid and encourage the development of your.

The Wausau Noon Optimist Club was formed in 1960 and has grown to approximately 140 members.  We work directly with the youth in the area on numerous activities throughout the year, along with sponsoring many youth related projects.  We like to participate in as many hands-on projects that we can, but also support many through contributions.

We operate two major fundraisers each year.  The Food & Beer Stand at the Wisconsin Valley Fair requires a full week of hard work, laughter, camaraderie and good times!  Our “Luck-O-The Irish” Raffle is held in March which includes a night of raffles, paddle-wheel games and auctions.  All ticket holders are served a Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner along with green beer!  Fun is had by all those who attend.

We enjoy a few social events throughout the year.  As optimists we share the bond of fellowship, enthusiasm and faith in the future!

Join us in our Optimism!
